Dan Mufson is a composer, songwriter and record producer. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA his career has spanned over 15 years and his professional activities have run the gamut from original music for commercials, TV and film scoring to producing artists and bands.
Dan has worked on hundreds of commercials for major brands like Nike, Apple, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, McDonald's, MLB, Maybelline, Kellogg's, IBM, Droid, Facebook, Target, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Google.
In 2024, Dan composed the score for Apple’s iPhone 16 PRO launch film—a dynamic, 3-minute cinematic journey that highlights the groundbreaking features of this revolutionary tool for creators and innovators.
His music has been featured in popular films like Bad Moms (2016), as well as TV series such as Gossip Girl (HBO), Atypical (Netflix), Home Before Dark (Apple TV+), Nashville, and Quantico (ABC).
As half of the Indie-Pop band Scavenger Hunt, Mufson and creative partner, Jill Lamoureux have amassed over 40 million streams, with praise from Billboard, Neon Gold, Indie Shuffle, and Pigeons & Planes.
In the studio, he’s collaborated with artists including Loud Luxury, RAC, The Midnight, MUNA, Betty Who, Satin Jackets, Rachel Yamagata, Regina Spektor, Clubhouse, Great Good Fine OK, Esthero, and Capital Cities.
Beyond music, Dan has worked with global brand teams to create sonic branding and UX sound libraries for companies like CoreLogic and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Mufson is based in Los Angeles, California.
